A liquid dietetic complementary feed for dairy cows, to be used after calving to address energy deficit and reduce the risk of ketosis. It appears as a very pale-colored liquid, reflecting the purity of its constituent substances, with a pleasant odor. Its use is particularly recommended during the periparturient period and in the first 4-6 weeks of lactation, for treating liver distress and energy deficit, when the risk of ketosis is high. Ketosis, a pathological condition frequently found on farms, especially in its subclinical (less visible) form, results from excessive fat mobilization that occurs when the energy provided by the diet is insufficient to cover the energy demands of milk production. Ketosis can compromise animal health and farm profitability. In full compliance with dietetic feed regulations, the product contains substances with glucogenic action, specifically monopropylene glycol and propionate. These substances are absorbed directly through the rumen wall and reach the liver, where they are converted into glucose, essential for milk production and for reducing the risk of ketosis. The product also represents a diversified energy source, as it contains distilled glycerin and premium syrups such as glucose and fructose. The niacinamide present in the product (20,000 mg/kg) enhances glucose synthesis and thus readily available energy, partly stimulating ruminal propionic acid fermentation.
